I was sitting here reading posts and sent a text message to DD who was suppose to be at work. Less than a minute later she calls me. Mom has ESP. She was literally walking out the door of the hospital and not from the department she works in, this was once again the ER. DD fainted at work. I bet her boss will be glad when Aiden is born. She had low blood sugar after according to her she had 20 oz coffee, candy, cookies ect ect. Fainting in her chair at work, only my daughter. Once again I tell her she isn't doing this right. Fainting comes at the beginning of the pregnancy not the end! All is well she is on her way home for dinner. I don't think I will survive though. Perhaps I should avoid DD until the end is here including the baby shower being put together for her next week!! I was telling Debbie and BJ that I should take a trip the day they induce labor with her. She can't have the epidural with the blood thinners that she is on. I will however warn the SIL that what comes out of her mouth during labor and delivery isn't my child. If she is correct that they will induce labor 2 weeks early of her due date she now has less than a month to go.

Comment by Carol Wadkins on January 19, 2013 at 6:33am As hard as it is to watch and wait, as always once the baby is here............ it's all very quickly forgotten.....Thank goodness! LOL
Good luck Gramma............
Fainting spells I can laugh at even if she is 6 months late having them. I know DD will feel differently after Aiden is born and she can see her own bundle of joy. I'm thinking that she will have another. Not real soon but Aiden will have a brother or sister some time in the future.
Comment by Pam/NY on January 17, 2013 at 10:47am That first baby is always the longest pregnancy! This will be just a memory soon...enjoy the shower!
Comment by Jennie Steward on January 17, 2013 at 9:49am Keep your eyes on the prize! Soon all of this stress will be gone and in your arms will be a bundle of the most awesome joy you can imagine! It has been a rough road for all of you....I will pray these next few weeks go by smoothly.
Comment by B J Elder/WA on January 17, 2013 at 8:49am I'm just so thankful that through all of this little Aiden seems to be doing just fine -- what a blessing that is. It won't be long now and you can all put this behind you and enjoy the blessing that is about to come into your lives. Hang in there my friend (DD too).
Comment by Irene Gallway on January 17, 2013 at 5:45am Like Cindy said "this too shall pass". It has been a long nerve wracking pregnancy and everyone is exhausted and anxious but in spite of it all the end is a wonderful little baby who will light up your life. It's hard when it's your own flesh and blood going through all this. I can understand why you don't want to see her going through this again. Will keep you all in my prayers.
Comment by Cindy on January 16, 2013 at 10:05pm Kathy, 'and this too shall pass', albeit not fast enough for you. But imagine how your DD feels. This has been anything but 'normal' for her. She did not get to enjoy her time as most expectant mothers do. Instead she was in a hospital bed. She's got to have all kinds of confusing feelings swirling around inside. Just love her through this rough spot. Let her know you're there for her and she has a safe, loving spot to fall. Look for the positive in each day. Treasure the moments you have together. Encourage her as well. These next few weeks will go by quickly and little Aiden will be here before you know it. Make these last days as special as possible for her and as stress free as possible. If you stay calm, you can help her do the same. So, take a deep breath and enjoy, you will be holding your new grandson very soon.
