Hi Sharon, I did enjoy my trip out with my cousins. I did enjoy those horses. I grew up on a farm but we didn't have any riding horses. We had the big work horses. I'm an animal lover and loved all the farm animals. And thanks for the compliment on my blouse.
A fun trip to TX to visit your cousins and enjoy other parts of the country is a great way to spend time with those you love. You look like you enjoy the horses, so did you ride when you were younger? I haven't been on a horse since 2008 when Grandpa and I went riding with our granddaughter. So much fun. You look so nice in the picture and I love the color of you blouse.
P Q it was a fun trip and good to be with 3 of my cousins. I use to can/preserve but when I moved into this senior apartment and now living alone since Bud died. I gave my pressure cookers to a friend of mine. It's a long process but it's good to eat home canned goodies in the Winter. I loved the mince meat I use to make.
Irene - what a fun trip! Glad you were included and able to join them.
It's been busy here with canning/preserving. DDIL loves to garden and can. We've been picking wild fruits for jells, canning Colorado peaches, apple pie filling, and have plans to can salsa. Today we are canning spaghetti sauce. It is a full two-day process, but she is a hard worker. I just try to keep up! :) Our middle grandson (age 3) is with us for a couple of days, and then DD and the oldest grandson will come for the weekend.
I'd better keep at it. The two youngest grandsons are checking cows this morning with grandpa. It is starting to feel like fall here, but the grass is still very green from all the moisture we've had this summer.
I agree with you handstitcher/IL. We all grew up in the same little town and have always been close.
Kathleen, Diane was very surprised. Especially when she seen us.
Sounds like a great family get-together! I hope Diane was surprised.
So fun to have a chance to hang out with your cousins! I think these opportunities become even more special as we get older.
It was a fun trip Janet being with my cousins.
I agree Pam, My cousin lives on a ranch in a town called Clarksville near Annona. It was very hot. The people were very nice and friendly and made us feel as though we had known them all our life. Dallas airport is big and busy compared to our Bangor airport.
That's a totally different part of the country from where you live! Always fun to get away with gal pals...mine are only around in the summer, because we all go south to different areas in the winter.
Sounds like a fun trip.
