National quilting day was on Saturday - hope you all made an effort to stitch a seam or two!
Someone donated some fabric to the Assisted Living Center, that I'm temporarily living in. The Activity director stopped by with a HUGE bag and said to take whatever fabric I wanted. Found some yummy Homespuns, which I will save for another time. There was also 12 different Spring fabrics - which I cut up into 2-1/2 inch and 1-1/2 inch squares.
Saturday I sat down with cut squares and slowly it evolved into many ideas. Started with 4-patch blocks, then decided to make them floating stars, and then bordered the 12 inch blocks by the smaller squares and created a 76 pieced block that will be 14 inches. One block is completed...only 15 more to finish.
Other projects that I worked on....a crocheted ducky blanket in cream (2nd one this month), crocheted hats (to donate) and genealogy research.
My stitching continues today and I got star points added to the 15 blocks (on one side)....
But I needed a break--the chronic tendonitis in my left foot is troublesome today. Then my arms and shoulders began to hurt. My body is falling apart...LOL
Had a hour nap before lunch and then afterwards came back and did my 10 arm exercises - with 15 reps of each exercise, per arm. Ahhhhhhhh.....the kinks are worked out and feeling better!
Soon it will be dinner time and can't wait.....they are serving Shepard's Pie......a FAVORITE!!
Hope you all created something theraputic this weekend....it's so good for the soul!!!

So glad to hear that there are fairies living in the assissted living area there. Fabric fairies are wonderful people. Sounds like you are doing so much better and actually having a good time there. Keep up the good work on the exercises and enjoy your Shepherd's Pie. Yum yum!
It's fantastic that you received some fabric to sew with. Sounds like it will be a great quilt when you get it finished. Keep up with the excerises and do all that you can. You sound good.
