Quilt With Us

I actually got to spend hours on a quilt top today! I brought my machine into the living room and hung out with my husband and son while I finished this quilt top, which is a surprise for a close friend. Tomorrow, hopefully, I will get to work on the backing and sew the binding strips together. I need to get some variegated thread for quilting it. I hope that this will be the first quilt that gets quilted on my new HandiQuilter II frame!

Thank you everybody for your compliments! The pattern is called "Gazing into Clear Water" by Debbie Boyd. I received it as a free pattern in a mailer for a quilting magazine. Once I had decided to make a quilt for this friend, I asked her what her favorite colors were and she said purple, blue, and green. This pattern came in the mail the very next day, so I just knew I was supposed to make her this quilt!

I don't see any copyright on the pattern sheet, so if anyone would like it, I can try to scan it and send it in an email. Leave a comment on my wall with your email address and I will send it to you. I did alter the pattern to make the quilt a specific size. The original pattern has one more fish in each row, which makes it about 75" x 54". Mine is closer to 65" x 53"

Thought I had this pattern in my stash, but found the pattern I was thinking of, lol, & it's not the same one, darn! Okay, now I really want to know what pattern this is too!
