How come the days go by so fast when you're on vacation? It doesn't seem fair, does it? I have to say that today I could use some grease to lube my jaw. I have never talked so much in one day...phew!
I wanted to share my lovely view from my brothers lake front home.... Sorry for the reflection...the sun was out and no matter where I stood I couldn't get the photo right.
Also, here's a photo of their bird feeder this morning... It reminded me of a fast foods drive in or maybe I should say a fast seed fly in. If you look to the right of the feeder, there's a Goldfinch hanging onto a wire waiting patiently for an opening perch at which time he swoops in and then another comes, hangs on the wire and waits his turn. This goes on all morning.
I wasted way to much time watching these little guys and ended up getting a late start. When my mother asked me why I was so late I told her, "it's the birds fault". Did you ever do that as a child...pass the buck when your mom caught you doing something? With six kids in the family it happened all the time with us. OH, my poor baby brother...no wonder he doesn't have any children. lol Had a wonderful day today.
Got my dads closet cleaned out and took in 4 pairs of pants. Since his illness he's lost a lot of weight and by me doing the alterations, saved my folks $12.50 a pair. Tonight I am drafting up a walker bag my mom wants on her walker. Hope to start it tomorrow. If we get it done I'll share a photo. Hope I understand what she's telling me she wants. We were like Mutt and Jeff Frick and Frack today. Our brains were just not in tuned. I'm thinking she's having a hard time explaining what she wants and she's telling me I'm not listening. Then we'd stare at each other and break out laughing. You had to be there to see the humor in it. Well, have two more pants to fix tonight and that pattern to start so I'd best sign off. Hope you had a wonderful Thursday.
