Quilt With Us

Nearly Insane!!!! Definately Insane!!!

(If you click on the picture, you can enlarge it so you can see the piecing better)
This is my Nearly Insane blocks to-date! The last one in the 3rd row and the last row are blocks that will be cut 1/4" from the center diagonal to be used as side setting triangles and corner triangles... I've made two of most of them to accomodate the 1/4" seam allowance! This quilt had 5 blocks that have over 200 pieces in them... I haven't done any of those yet, but the 5th one in the first row has 150 pieces. This quilt will be set on point and it will be sashed with corner stones. I have black for the sashing and white for the corner stones. It will also have a pieced border... Some day I'll get back to the UFO and actually finish it... don't hold your breath though it's going to be awhile!! LOL!!

This is the original Nearly Insane Quilt that the book is taken from.

This is what the Reproduction Quilt looks like when finished...

Hi Chris, I just did my first block from this book, #4. I used the Flip-Flop paper piecing method & it worked out great on this one. Not sure I even want to attempt every block in this book, lol, but since they are the same size as our SBS ones, it's fun playing with some of them. I really like this size of block too. I will post a pic to our group later, when I get around to taking some more. (How does anyone get anything else done & manage to quilt too, lol! Still trying to figure that one out!)...

You must be one amazing lady. One look at that book and I'd turn tail and run the other way.
