Quilt With Us

In my post about the baby clutch ball, I mentioned that I wanted to include a piece of chenille in the project but couldn't find my chenille scraps.  Well...you guessed it...today I found them!

Isn't that the way things go? I can relate to ranchmom's story. I have put many things away for safe keeping, only to find them after the fact or not at all.

That is the story of my life, years ago I was being very efficient and bought the kids valentines for school  when they were on sale the year before.  I hide them so the kids would not get into them before the next valentines, well the next year came and we searched the house for their valentines could not find them, drove the 100 miles one way the day before the party bought new ones, drove home helped them address them to their classmates that evening.  Every year we looked for the valentines never found them until after our youngest son was out of high school last year, they where stashed in a box of t-shirt knit fabric I had used to make them new t-shirts for spring and summer.  That I had stored in the attic.

PQ, I can relate so well! I'm making fabric pennant banners for some of the office gals at the school where i work. I'm using school colors; purple, black, gold. I have several leftover fabrics to use, had them in a stack. I then went to Joann's because I didn't think I had a purple with no pattern on it. Bought the solid purple, came home and looked through the stack. Toward the bottom of the stack........I found a solid purple!

Mais oui! That's French for "duh" but it sounds so much better. If you're like me you moved it during the course of your search to get to the fabric underneath.

LOL..it was probably right in the open! That's usually the case with me! The next one you make will have it!

I think it's an unwritten law, or something, that things magically reappear after you've swapped it out for something else.  Drives me crazy.
