Quilt With Us

I know that this isn't a quilting subject but I am so excited...as of July 3rd I will be a "mom" to a 6 week old puppy...I have named her Maggie. Her mother stopped feeding the pups at 4 1/2 weeks so a friend took 2 of the puppies in and I will finally get mine next Friday. DH isn't so thrilled because we already have a dog and cat but once he see's her he too will fall in love!!! She is so black that she's blue....and she is already Sassy!!! As soon as I can I will post a picture of her. She only cost me $40...well worth the price LOL.

Well I have 2 of my quilts quilted and I only need to do the binding on them....first time for me on this....I love to hand sew but for some reason I have a hard time with the blind stitch...I really can't figure my self out sometimes....can I just do a blanket stitch?? LOL. I am starting on another quilt and It has to be done in a couple of weeks. Better get going I guess.

Ok I have to go and check out what is the best puppy food to feed my darling.

You brought a smile to my face. I had a black lab named Maggie for 12 years. I really miss her. I now have a white lab named Dixie who is just as sweet as my Maggie was. I think Lab's are one of the most loving breeds of dogs.

I have toy poodle, his name is Handsome Prince Riley. He goes to the "doggie beauty parlor". And when he comes home they put a bandana on him. And he so cute. The bandanas are just peices of fabric that they have cut. So I let Riley wear his for a week or so . And I saved them amd made a quilt for him and put it on his bed in his room. So have fun spoiling him. Cograts on your newest family member.

WOW!!!! This is neat and gave me chill bumps. My son and his family are getting a new black lab puppy this weekend. Andy's friend in GA raises black labs and he is bringing Andy the pup this weekend. They have named her "Lexie". The whole family is excited about getting her. This is the son that I wrote the blog about that lost his precious dog "Hunter" several months ago. "Lexie" can never take Hunters place but can start a new chapter.

I like the name "Maggie" that is cute. Can't wait to see pics. Enjoy her!! I can't wait to meet my new grandpuppy!! God Bless, Linda

for heaven's sake, you wrote a post and i caught it after i wrote you! Congrats on the pup, how come you didn't name her Sassy? lol. We just lost our dawg, Arnold McFarnold. He was the best danged watch dawg on earth. I miss his ferocious bark. He wouldn't let anybody on his property.....once he ''swallowed'' the neighbors arm, no kidding. we warned the neighbor that Arnold was not a people person and please don't mess with him, and of course, the neighbor just had to prove us wrong.....went to pet arnold.....and arnold just swallowed his arm, didn't bite him, but the guy never went near arnold again! Gotta get going, we are going to the park today for a walk and then we are going to grocery shop before the heat hits, take care. can't wait to see the quilts. vanda
