Quilt With Us

O.K. I finally got some pics posted of my latest projects.  I have been a busy little bee for the past several weeks.  Trying to take care of clients and get my own sewing done.  I have to say I'm beginning to like "hand" sewing after doing these three quilts and a tablerunner.  I park myself in front of the t.v. and enjoy my hand work.  Never thought I would hear that coming out of my mouth.  I'm going to be making more of those aprons.  I got the tea towel from Missouri Star Quilt Co. and they have a tutorial on how to make it.  It's a fast project and most ladies like a nice apron.  So like it or not they are going to get one. lol  I practiced my free motion quilting on the kids quilts and the tablerunner.  I have to admit I do need allot more practice but the kids won't know or care if I jumped a few stitches.  I did learn a little more control on each quilt.  Got up this morning and made a dozen small Christmas stocking for our food pantry.  Got Bud up from his nap to get them delivered so they would have time to stuff them before they opened.  Shortly after he left the house I remembered it is Wed. and the food pantry is only open on Thurs.  He called laughing telling me he thought I was losing my mind.  And then, when he got home he told me he went into a store and left his truck door open. So I guess it's catching.  I refuse to blame it on my AGE.  I'm off to the sewing machines so see ya later.

Good for you on the hand sewing and the free motion quilting.  I've got quilter's block about starting that.  On forgetfulness, I left my keys on the outside of my car door, and my bank credit card is on the keyring while in Walmart.  I was shocked to see them hanging in plain sight when I came back out!  My friend left her new car running and went in Walmart!  It was still there when she came out.  The engine was so quiet that neither she nor her DGS knew it was still "on".

Oh Irene, you make me feel so much better!  I thought I was the only one!

Your new projects are great - you put me to shame - gotta go sew!

Wow, you sure have been a busy gal Irene!  I have been thinking about making some of those tea towel aprons too.  The one your DIL is wearing is sure cute.  That is funny about you & Bud both having senior moments!
