Happy New Year's eve! It is hard to believe we have been part of CT's great site for almost a year. I remember how curious I was went I first signed up and then got hooked on the place, the people, the quilts. Now you are all friends and neighbors--we share a common obsession with fabric and making things of it. I'm stunned when I look at all the pictures of quilts, wallhanging, table runners, ornaments, clothes and everything else. We are all held together by thread.
I watched the beautiful full moon (blue moon) last night and as usual wondered how that will eventually become inspiration for a quilt. Once, when I was a new quilter, I was driving home from Montana in the winter and noticed how the ground and mountains seemed to be shades of white, gold, brown and gray. Absolutely beautiful with the sunlight shining on them. I found myself accidently buying all those same colors for a while, eventually using them in a bargello.
What inspirations will come to us all this coming year? I hope to see lots of gorgeous quilts from all of you.
I'm not good with resolutions but I hope to sew or quilt each day, laugh every hour, be generous with my gifts, and lose that stubborn twenty five pounds. Happy New Year!
