Quilt With Us

Didn't get to sew on Sunday like I had hoped. My back was giving me fits and I thought I better rest it for awhile. Besides, I am a little nervous about starting the big S. I will get my courage up this coming weekend, tho. I have my mind made up. I keep looking at the pieces and re-reading the directions. Maybe I'll have some idea of what I am doing by the time I start. I know I can do it. It is just a matter of convincing the little doubt shadow that follows me around sometimes. Will keep everyone posted!!

I wish that I lived closer and I would give you guidance in person. Hopefully your pattern has directions showing you to stitch small pieces together to make larger ones. Follow them and make larger blocks which will be stitched into larger ones. Most patterns don't need to do anything other than stitch straight seams and rows of blocks together, so you are going to have a lot of fun and feel successful. Come on, we're rooting for you!!!

I'm with you on the back pain, but even it seems to disappear when I wrap myself in quilting!

Just start in.  If you make a mistake, there's always your trustworthy seam ripper.  You can read the directions all you want, but they won't make sense until you actually sew them together.  All your fears will go away and you'll wonder why you were so scared.

Just dive in after you read all the instructions. (carefully)

What is the big S?  Just take it one step at a time & you will do just fine!
