You know those new little clips for holding your binding on while you hand stitch it?  Well, this weekend I found another great use for them.  I was making a vinyl window/door for the skid loader here at the retreat. It will help keep the elements out this winter and hopefully keep the fellows inside a bit warmer. I sandwiched the vinyl between two layers of outdoor fabric and used the clips to hold it together while I stitched. Worked GREAT!

And here it is all finished and on the machine.

Hmmm, wonder if they'll let me drive it???  OH... and now they want me to so vinyl windows for the sides.

chef? Alton Brown would be proud that these clips are not simply a uni-tasker.  :)

This sure a cool idea!!! Keeping them warmer will put you in their good graces for things you want. It's getting colder her in Woodinville, but another day of sunshine for tomorrow is great, before the rains start again. Tomorrow we'll be covering the MH until it's time to uncover it to head to AZ in Jan. Hope that you got all your firewood split, stacked and covered and ready for winter.

Nice fix.  Be careful what you wish for... DH had me learn to drive the skid steer this summer.  It's like milking the cows - a skill you might be better off not knowing!  :D

How clever!  Aren't those the BEST little clips?  I've used them for several tasks other than binding; they grip pretty firmly.  I also gave them as Christmas presents to several of my quilting friends last year.  (Hate the box they come in though!)

Smart!  But, be careful, now they know how talented you are, they might keep you really busy!
