Quilt With Us

Not my fault will be carved into my headstone when I die. I forgot to get food for dinner on the way home from work so I went to the local fast food. I made it there in one piece and back out to the main road and I was I swear just sitting there waiting for the light to change and thump! I'm looking around and trying to figure out who hit me. I look at the guy on the motorcycle in the next lane and a tire hits the back of his bike and rolls in front of my car and into the ditch. Having located the culpret that hit me, I was trying to figure out who it came from. I parked on the street got out and looked around. No accidents piled up around me! This was good. The guy behind me is waving his arm and I walk back to his truck. The tire came off a boat behind him. I'm looking down the row of cars that I now have backed up behind me and sure enough, six, 6 cars back there is a boat without a wheel. Now I ask you, how can a tire make it past 6 other cars and hit me???? I move my car off the road and the guy behind parks with me. The wheel had hit the back corner panel of my car and put a small dent in it and scratched the paint. No big deal right?????

Not so. I called the other half to tell him dinner will be a tade bit late. Why???? All I had to tell him was "Its not my fault!" I swear you could hear him having a corinary right there on the phone. All totaled this makes 7 car accidents in the last 10 years. None of them have been my fault. I have called my insurance agent, I'm sure she is still laughing as she drives home. ( I hope she doesn't have an accident!) Just so everyone knows how bad I am with these things, I've replaced every car that has be hit except this one. I just didn't have the money after the last accident to replace the car. Ok guilty, I wanted the longarm machine more than a new car. (Smiling) I really hate driving wrecked cars, they just arent the same after wards. I called my local salesman. All I had to say to him was that I think green sounds like a good color. The previous car was replaced before the repairs were done on the car. All he wanted to know was how bad the car was. I'm sure he is still laughing when I got done explaining how I got hit this time.

So now that we have all had a good laugh. Ok I hope you are, 'cause I sure am. For once this didn't involve a trip to the hospital. Have a happy 4th and watch out for rouge tires from boats too!

Oh Kathy that is priceless.
My dad many years ago was driving down a major highway in Ontario and saw a tire PASS him. He laughed thinking some fool lost a tire. A few minutes later he realized HE was the fool. He was pulling a cart that sits behind a horse in horse races and the wheel had come off and was going faster than he was! In fact faster than it ever had because he never had a horse that won a race.

Christi, don't be to sure Kathy's long arm is safe in her home. The way Kathy's luck runs a plane could drop out of the sky onto it. Glad you didn't get hurt Kathy and that the damage to your car was minor. Thanks for the laugh.

LOL! You need to find that "Hit Me" magnet and get it removed! Thanks for the chuckle, and I'm glad you are okay. I'm with the others here, STAY HOME THIS WEEKEND! LOL!

Glad you are okay. Hope your insurance doesn't raise because you are accident prone!

BJ have you been talking to my other half????? He thinks I should buy an armored tank. I wouldn't need padding then just lots of insurance for the cars I would run over.

Kathy, my son is an avid fisherman. Twice now one of the tires on his boat trailer have come off. This last time no one else was involved but the first time it came off and hit a ladies car and scared her half to death. I know it sounds freaky but it is more common than people think!! Glad you are ok and no one was hurt!!

Kathy, I cannot believe it. I can just picture you sitting there and this tire comes flying up the road. Yes by 6 cars and hits you. Man, you must be magnetized. Take care and have a safe 4th of July weekend.
