Quilt With Us

I hope your week was Spirit Led.

First I want to say something that occurred overnight last night.  I am speaking about the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.  Please know that my prayers have been lifted up for the victims (including those unharmed physically), victim families, police, fire, paramedics, hospital workers (doctor, nurses, nursing asst., etc). I have prayed for the community also.  I pray for the family of the shooter.  This is a horrific catastrophic event.  My heart is actually hurting.

I am still praying for hurricanes, fires, and earthquake victims.

On a lighter note, I had a hard time thinking on what I did last week.  It went so fast.  LOL.  I played on my embroidery machine last week.  I was making a 'hot mat' until I ran out of the color thread I needed.  So, that ended that project for the time being.  Friday my thread came in and I finished the project.  I do not have a picture of that project, but I can show you ones I did last year.  This is an 'in the hoop' project.  It is also reversible.

This is my week to pick up GS from school.  He is in tennis and band and Monday is his busiest day.  Tennis practice after school until 5, then at 7 back to school for band practice.  We usually pick him up after tennis, feed him a lunch type meal, then back to school for band.  Our son lives 'out of town', so it is just easier on all if we do this for him.  It also gives us time with our GS.

I leave you today with this verse that was shared in church yesterday:

1 Peter 2:17 (NKJV)

17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

May you have a Spirit Led week.

Glad you had some time to play on your embroidery machine.  The hot mats are very nice!

Indeed, today was a heart breaking day in Las Vegas.  A tragedy to all involved, directly or indirectly.

I'm praying for the people who have been affected by this awful tragedy.

I was so worried after hearing about that horrible shooting until I heard from both of our sons that everyone was okay!  Our granddaughter River was supposed to go to the concert, but ended up having to work late at the last minute so she didn't go.  We are just heart sick over this.  I feel so bad for the victims & their families, but people need to keep in mind that this man's brother & mother are also victims.  I saw the interview with his brother & you could tell he was just bewildered as to how his brother could have done such an awful thing.  I guess some times it doesn't really take much to make someone snap mentally.
