Though it was a real rough week, it was still Spirit Led.
My son and his wife had a OB/GYN visit on Wednesday. They went to mainly for the gender reveal. The results were put in an envelope to be given to Erica's sister for the party. That is not the only news they got.
The baby has a heart defect. They had to go to a pediatric cardiologist for confirmation.
The unborn child has Tetralogy of Fallot. A congenital heart defect consisting of 4 problems that result in not enough blood flow to the lungs and a hole in the heart. This condition will require 1 - 2 surgeries, the first may occur shortly after birth and/or at 3 - 6 mos old. The number of, and timing depends on how the heart develops and how the baby is when born. There may be other physical and mental defects associated with this diagnosis, but won't know until later on - probably after birth. The specialist was really positive and gave great insight into this and we will continue to see her throughout the pregnancy. They will need to deliver in Dallas where there is a special pediatric heart surgeon and NICU available.
They were also told that out of all of the heart defects, this one is one of the better ones. The dr said that the outlook is very good for individuals with this condition and diagnosis, to lead normal lives.
Dallas is about 70 miles away. I expect that they will need to 'move' there prior to delivery. I also expect a C-section. Ryan has 2 brothers that live very near Dallas.
Thus, I have been in God's ear since.
Now, for uplifting news. My pick for the gender is a boy.
That is the family revealing results. Pink confetti from the black balloon (I was wrong, thought it was a boy). The name reveal is: Avery Rose.
Now it is time for specific prayers to fill God's ears. Due Date: March 2018
Prayers requested please
Now for the other things promised. Pictures of my prihects...
These are the crosses for Pastor Appreciation:
Mats: 2 Christmas and one for future step granddaughter
And during all of this. I was taxi GMa for oldest GS. Band and Tennis. Tennis tournament on Thursday, he won his mixed doubles match. On Saturday, the band had marching contest and they scored a 2. A score of 1 would be better. The band has been in transition, due to the fact that a few weeks ago, they fired the band director and hired a new one.
26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
I am praying that God will heal this heart defect prior to delivery and Avery Rose will not have to endure post delivery surgeries. If that is not His will, may He guide the hands of the doctors and nurses attending her. May He also wrap His arms around the parents during this time in their lives.
May YOU have a Spirit Led week.
