Off-Kilter Kitties
Again, kind of a descriptive title for a very colorful children's quilt. It started with a length of fabric, black with framed whimsical kitties printed on it, that I purchased on a trip through Montana. It languished in my stash for quite awhile until I imagined what to do with it. I stumbled upon the kitty footie-print fabric later, and it all came together. The tilted set of the blocks occurred to me after I laid it out straight and decided that was boring. I think the angular geometric quilting (by Nicole) suits it perfectly.

Yes, Pam, I'm inclined to let some of my fabrics "marinate" for awhile. In fact, the have three shelves of carefully folded marinating fabric! LOL

Isn't it amazing what a little design tweak does to "make" the quilt? Good choice to tilt the blocks to give it that extra pizzazz. The paw print border adds the perfect frame to this one. Nice!
