Quilt With Us

I know I haven't posted much but the sun is out!  Many of you know we don't get alot of sunshine in the northwest but when we do.... I confess, I will be out there soaking up as many rays as I can get.  Last year the sun didn't come out til after the 4th of July.  This year it was out and warming things up back in June.  Being a native and I do mean native, my family goes way back to the crazy Indians that were here before Lewis and Clark, I tan more than I can ever get a sunburn.

I did try to post a few weeks ago but for some reason I was logged out and couldn't get back in.  That surprized me.  I didn't think too much about it sense the sun was out and I had better things to do before it disappears for the year.  So feeling the need to post something I tried again only to find out I still couldn't get back in.  I had to reset my password.  Hummmm..... sounds like my job at work, always having to call my IT department to fix my register. You know if they had a register that worked as fast I can, I wouldn't be crashing the darn thing every week (and they said it couldn't be done with this new system).

So having spent last week on the phone fixing said register more than I actually did working, I am on vacation!  Whatever will the IT department do without me to keep them busy?  I would say they would be out enjoying the sunshine as well but they are in Arizona where not having sunshine would be the exception not the rule.

I would bet at this point that everyone is thinking that I will be out babysitting the grandson.  Well I will but only for a couple of days.  This is after all my vacation.  My last vacation back in May was spent with GS because DD went back to work and needed the help.  This time is for me... So what do I have planned?  I will be finishing the quilting on the baby quilt I started for Aiden, I really need to get that done, he will be 5 months old on August 1st.  I was surprized to hear that he is starting to crawl, head down and forward he goes.  Ok so he may have inherited a few of the wrong genes but he is still soooo cute.  I have started working on a new quilt top a few months ago and stopped last month when the other half had his heart attack in the end of June.  I think that was the last time I posted anything.  He is home and doing well.  He has even gone back to work on a modified schedule, light duty (as if he knew what that ment). I still have his daughter and her two kids in the house so I'm not sure how much I can get done but if I start early enough in the morning on my projects I should get alot done sense they don't get up until late late in the morning.

Doesn't he just remind you of the gerber baby on the jar of baby food?

He is a cutie pie and yes he does remind me of the Gerber baby. I worked for several years for the "Gerber" day care, then renamed "Childtime"..............

Enjoy the sun...I get dark in minutes...my grandparents owned the land by Wounded Knee in SD...so, I think there has to be some Lakota blood flowing in me! Which makes for a gorgeous brown...people are always asking what I use...el naturale...
