Quilt With Us

I'm ready to add sashing to a crib quilt I'm making. Got the squares pinned up on the design wall; stuck both options for the sashing behind/between some of them but can't decide which one works best. DH says "Red" (his fav. color) and I say "Blue" (my fav. color) lol so I'm going to need some more opinions. HELP!

Glad you already decided because I couldn't! But I think the blue is the right choice, it's very very cute.

Glad you chose blue. The red was good, with the little red hearts and the red in the framing but the blue really makes the blue POP!

Sounds like you made a good choice. The quilt is great!

Thanks all! I opted for the blue - have it all sewn together except for one more seam before adding the outside 'sashing' in blue and then possibly red for the borders (not enough left of the yellow or green). I appreciate all the comments... and a couple of you trying to confuse me with other colors/options LOL.

Have you considered doing some of them in red( maybe the 4 corners) and the rest with the blue or do it every other one and then you could even use a yellow or green.

Sorry Sunshine - I go with the blue. To confuse the issue even more.... I used black with my daughters quilts to make the colors really pop. It'll look good no matter what you choose.

If you want the quilt to be calming and soothing, go with the blue. If you want it to be bright, cheery then go with the red.

In looking at the other comments, they alls say blue, but have you thought of this? Compromise, use both, either red at the top and bottom and blue on the sides or vie versa. Or do a striped border, red, green, blue, yellow.....tie all the colors together, make it look like piano keys.....
