Quilt With Us

Okay, so I admit it, I've been a complete loser! After being harrassed, er, I mean ENCOURAGED, by numerous other employees/relatives (not naming any names here), as well as a few QWU members, I'm FINALLY getting around to posting my completely finished Southern Stars Quilt. So without further ado......

I have to confess, it's been done for a few months now, but I've been such a slacker and neglected to post the finished product for all to see. I swear, they're never going to ask me to host one of these groups again! Besides, I think Mari and my mom are doing such an AMAZING job with their groups, they don't REALLY need me, do they? I think I'll just slip away quietly and let them take over. Hee hee!
My wonderful mother did the quilting for me, which I think looks beautiful! Yep, I'm pretty lucky to have such a talented mommy who will do such nice things for me! I took a couple of close-ups for you all so you could take a look at her wonderful quilting. Enjoy!

Kristen, your SS quilt is beautiful and your Mom's quilting is fantastic. I wish she lived close and I could have a whole lot less UFO's (ha). Thanks for sharing.

Great Job! I LOVE it!!!! :) This has to be one of my favorite quilts I have done so far. It was the first time I have done a sampler type quilt.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone! The feather design my mom did really turned out nice. I felt too guilty to ask her for a custom design, since I know how much work that is. The quilt is back at home happily resting on my rocking chair.

Karen, what do you think I'm working on, silly? Remember, I'm sewing that purse/tote Judy talked me into making! BTW, how is yours coming along? Oh, that's right. I forgot you're still unpacking your sewing room. AND you have a quilt to quilt too if I recall. I guess I should stop giving you such a bad time. I could get in trouble!

Kirsten, you did a fabulous job and so did your mother!!!! Plus you were an awesome host, don't sell yourself short!!!!!! I had such a good time being a part of the Southern Stars group and I learned so much. I am so grateful for all the friends I made and the laughs and fun. This was a wonderful project and my quilt sits proudly in my living room!!! Congrats on getting it done!!!

Love it! And it's not such a bad thing to be able to say "it's been DONE for a few months now", is it?
