Quilt With Us

I know that I haven't posted for 1 year, but I do read and keep up with all the things going on and sometimes add my 2 cents worth. This last trip, we left home (in our motorhome) on Feb. 2nd for AZ., and got home on April 23rd.  We were in Oceanside, Ca,, for 1 week visiting some friends from our area, who were renting a beach cottage. We spent 1 month in Phoenix at a RV park, so we could go to Mariner Spring Traning games. We were able to attend 12. The weather was fantastic and we aquired a nice tan, sitting at the games and just running around. We drove over 1,000 miles while there, taking in all the sights and going out into the desert and prospecting. Nope, didn't find anything worthwhile, but I did manage to collect my share of rocks to bring home to put around my flower beds. What a grand time we had. Left Phoenix on April 2nd and eventually got to Las Vegas. We saw wild horses in Kingman and wild burros in Oatman, AZ. They sure are beautiful. In Vegas, we like to go to the downtown area to watch Lazer show and get some good cheap meals. We stayed at Sam's Town this year and I got Steak and Lobster at TGI Fridays for $13.99. Both were really delicious!!!! Came home going thru Ut., MT and ID, seeing relatives and friends.

I took material along to cut and get another quilt ready to sew, but didn't touch anything, because we were always so busy.  I went to a few quilt stores and bought material for a friend's baby quilt.  I'm still trying to get caught up on all the things that needed to be done while we were gone. Weather here is not really so bad, but cooler that we would like. Suppose to rain a few days and then have a nice weekend.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Sounds like a great trip!  DH teases me about taking stuff to do along with me--doesn't matter where I'm going or for how long a trip, I take something to sew and something to read...doctor's appointments, visits to family, whatever.  I also carry a book around with me at home, from bedside to chair and back again.  Security blanket!  Enjoy being home--nice to go and nice to come back, huh?

How wonderful to hear from you and read all about your latest adventures...... It must be so great to be able to do all that traveling and seeing so many grand sights. Don't know if it will even be in my future, but just maybe one day!

Happy now that you are home and getting ready to give that machine of yours a big hello and get to some fun, just cruising along with new and different fabrics! Enjoy!!

It was great to hear from you , now don't stay away from us all for so long next time. LOL

Hugs,

Carol

Good to hear from you...you did have a wonderful trip...lots of driving! Now, to get back into a routine...that always takes me a week or so! Dust off that machine...

Sounds like you had a great trip! It is fun to travel and see other parts of our country - and it is always good to be back home.  Just looked at some of your pictures and you do have some beautiful quilts - I especially like the waterfall pattern.
