Quilt With Us

OK! The painting is done along with the trim work but now it's on to the carpet. When that finally gets done I plan to have a few girls over to work with them on a purse I've been making. I will post pictures soon. I have two done and two in progress. I also need to take a photo of the caribou scene I completed and my DH helped me mount it onto an old window frame so it looks like you're looking through the window.
I did enjoy sitting on the south deck this weekend and watching a mama moose and her one year old calf cruise through, munching on the trees at a sloooowwww gait. In the morning I was wondering what a dripping sound was when I saw a ruff grouse fly off. I should have known what the sound was...they nibble the buds on the aspen and then the bunnies come and nibble on what falls to the ground and it looks like a war zone in my yard! Then the fox wanders through to see what he can find. He even ventured up on the deck after we had grilled some steaks. I love it here.
The days have been sunny and warm and beautiful with still knee deep snow in the yard.

I'm anxious to see your picture mounted on the window. I know it is going to be fabulous and I love the setting you are doing for it. I think I would be spending most of my time with my camera in my hand if I lived where you do -- such wonderful scenery and wildlife. I can see why you love it there. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Some friends of ours have a daughter (and family) who live in Alaska. THey have a little guy - maybe 3 years old or so who calls to tell his Grpa "Well, I saw another moose butt today, Grandpa!" (They never get him to the window in time to have him actually see the whole moose.)

Thanks Joana,
Too bad about the hayfever...
I would be scared too if I was your cat. Unfortunately we lost a Lhasa Apso that way. I would take him skiing and see the coyote's and away he'd run. well one night my hubby let him out late at night and that was it. Sad story and so sad still that I don't have a pup now but if/when I do get one, we'll have to really watch her/him.... Our last one was a scaredy dog so she lived to 12 years old. The only thing blooming around here is what we force inside :) I have a nice Amarilys just about ready to pop open.

Hi, Klutina--so good to hear from you and about all you are doing. We've been watching a coyote that makes it way through our front yard each night--makes our cat nervous enough to want to come in the garage at night, even though I don't think it could get inside our wood fence. It's definitely spring here--everything in bloom, everyone sniffling with hayfever, LOL.
