A couple photos of completed projects:
First is a quilt my 14 year old granddaughter, Allison, made for her 2 year old niece, Daphne (my great granddaughter). I did cutting; Allison sewed blocks and borders together. She talked me into the quilting and binding.
Next is quilt I made for DD, Sharla, and her DH, Randy, for Christmas. Randy hunts elk in Craig, Colorado so they requested an elk themed quilt. Found elk panels and scenic elk yardage on line; found pattern online. Hand quilted aspen leaves in the triangle corners and machine quilted the rest with my domestic machine. Named quilt "Nature's Grandeur: The Elusive Elk". They loved it!
Next is a closer view of the corner of the elk quilt.
Am working on a St Pat's Day wall hanging even though I'm not Irish. Have a spot in livingroom where I display wall hangings to suit the current season or holiday. Have finished a wedding quilt for step-grandson whose wedding is next August; it's the camouflage quilt I mentioned a few months back. Haven't taken a photo of it yet but will post both of these when I do. I'm still working on UFOs.
Our area is back in the deep freeze with 25 degrees below zero temps at night and 0 degrees during day; also have been getting more snow. Weather man says 2 more weeks of this. My sis leaves for 2 months in Texas tomorrow; I wanted to hide in her suitcase.
That's enough complaining. Happy quilting!
