Although this is crocheting instead of quilting, I thought some of you might enjoy seeing a pic of my dgs Billy wearing his new hat. He saw a pic of this on the internet and asked me to make him one. The pattern was very poorly written so there were times I wanted to just throw up my hands in frustration, but now after seeing him with it on I'm happy I stuck with it. (Shannon, this is the grandson who is going to Canada in June as a Student Ambassador).

Comment by Debbie Snyder/WA on February 19, 2013 at 6:57am How great is that!!!! I've seen these on the internet...love the helmet idea. My grown son mentioned he'd like the beenie with the beard chin strap....my crocheting skills arent good enough to read a pattern and know what to do, so he'll have to wait for.............well, forever. Glad your GS love it.

Comment by Shannon, ON on February 18, 2013 at 8:00am Janet that is cool that he is learning about the CN tower. It will be an exciting trip for him. I am not a fan of heights however have taken visitors there so they can ride up the glass elevator and stand on the glass floor LOL. On a clear day the view is about 100 miles. It is right beside the Rogers Centre where the Blue Jays play baseball. It is a great stadium with a retractable roof for rainy days. I think he will have a wonderful time!! This is a wonderful opportunity for him.
