Quilt With Us

I realized after I shot these that I hadn't pressed the final borders yet, so please excuse the wrinkles. This baby is at the longarm's right now. Next time you see it, it'll be beautifully quilted and bound, and all glammed up in a pretty professional shot for a kit. You might not even recognize it! :) For those of you wondering what I'm talking about, I've been sewing this twin sized appliqued Circles And Chains quilt from the book Baker's Dozen. CT will be kitting it up without the book, fabric only, out of Canning Day....soon, very soon. This one is going on the twin bed in my guest room, and I'll be painting the room either the aqua or the apricot (lighter of course). I'm a feedsack fanatic!

I love the quilt and colors. I also enjoyed your updates on its progress. I am amazed that you could work on this so quickly along with your other articles and activities that are a part of your daily routine. I will need to get the book. I am looking forward to the kit as well. Enjoy your articles.

Thanks everyone! I'm really pleased with it. I had planned on asking the LA to do some custom work, but then she showed me a computerized edge to edge pattern (much less expensive) that has 3 - 4 sizes of concentric circles and I fell in love with it.

Linda, we've never tried this before, but it will be a fabric kit with no pattern and you buy the book separately. That's because some of you might already own the book. I think we're kitting up three different projects from this book.

The only reason I got it done fast was because of the deadline. If I'm on my own schedule, it never gets done :)

It is wonderful. Love the borders with the applique cirlces. Nice touch. You got it done in time...Yahoo. Now send your quilting fairy with the "poof" wand my way. I'm needing help in the sewing department.

I love it Karen. Is the kit going to include the pattern or are we going to have to buy the book seperately? or do you know yet? It is really nice. Love the colours. I have a daybed in the spare room that it would look really nice on.

I love this quilt and you did a fantastic job on it. I am amazed at how fast you get these quilts made. It takes me forever and a day to make a quilt.
