My Son and DIL have a dear college friend, Alison, she was married yesterday. Here is the quilt I made for Alison and her groom, Matt. I made a cinch sack to put it in that matches the border of the quilt. The cinch sack is sitting on a church pew that we have in our home. The story behind that church pew is that our family always sat in that row at church. The pews were A-Z and my dad "claimed" the L row for our family, stating the L stood for Love. When the church was remodeled several years ago, my dad was given part of the L row and I'm pleased to have it in our home now!
On another note, I saw an ad on Craigslist today. The ad stated that the woman had had plans on having her own quilt shop/long arm business, but that never happened. She has an accumulation of (nice) fabric for .50/yd and 1.00/yd.......so I went shopping. The 3rd picture is my find for today. She said she still has 5 tubs to empty, so I will be visiting her again. She's a sweet older woman and I really enjoyed visiting with her while I picked out fabric. The nice thing is, hubby didn't say a thing when I walked in with with a full bolt and sackful of fabric!
