Quilt With Us

Help please, ladies.

Some time ago - okay quite a long time ago - the Golden Thimble website had a free BOM of Quilt barns.  The pattern for the barn was the same on each block but there was an opening to insert a quilt block (as rural barns are often decorated).  The quilt consisted of 9 blocks with 9 different 4-1/2" inserts.  I have finished 8 blocks and in going through my UFO's I found them and thought this would be an easy quilt to finish up.

However.....I have misplaced the block pattern for the insert in the last barn (#9).  Can't imagine why it isn't with all the others as I know I printed them out but no luck.  Anyone out there who also printed out or saved the instructions.  If so, I'd love it if you could share #9 - it was a free pattern so no copyright problems.  If not, I'll have to wing it and just make any old block to finish it up but I'd like to "do it right".  Thank you!

So glad somebody has found it and is willing to SHARE!  Ahh, it was good for a laugh.  And I've got a pretty good "death stare", LOL! (according to my kids)

My goodness, who poked her with a needle?

Most quilters are so very nice and generous, but I've run into a couple of your "lady's"  variety.

It was a free pattern that Golden Thimble offered so I didn't hesitate to ask for a copy since there shouldn't be any copyright issues.  Apparently it was so popular, they are selling it now.  But luckily, a friend thinks she downloaded every month and will share her September pattern when she has a minute to hunt for it.  I appreciate your attempt to help me out and I'm sorry you ran into the wicked witch of quilting.  A hug from me for trying!!!!

Yikes!  Just went to Quilt Guild tonight and one of the "ladies" was showing her blocks and had a barn block.  I thought of you and asked did she happen to have the one for September and boy did I get an earful!  She said if I wanted one of the blocks I could buy the book for $29.95 by Eleanor Burns, bla, bla, bla and snapped up her block and finished by saying that wasn't a September block it is called churn dash.  Guess she don't get no cookies from me!  Sorry, but I tried.

Just infuriates me as I have all the patterns for block 1 through 8 and I know 9 is somewhere - apparently I kept it separate since it wasn't finished yet.....it's in a safe place in a folder somewhere on one of these shelves - I just bet!  But anyway I appreciate your detective skills and if Kathy can't find it to share it with me, at least I have an alternative!  Thanks!

You are welcome. I am a web detective LOL. The pattern is no longer free as it was her most popular one, so she now charges for it!

The one at etsy is the one, Shannon.  Thanks!  A friend from another group might have it as it was a free BOM at the time and I only need September.  But now I have an alternative source if that doesn't work out.  Thanks for your help!
