Hooray! I have finally gotten the chance to quilt again. It has been a very long time since I could start and finish a quilt project. My latest baby quilt, Fairy Dust, has shown me I am certainly out of practice. But I love the art of quilting, I am not going to complain if I have to re-learn a few skills and techniques.

My grandmother's flower garden was my inspiration for my Fairy Dust baby quilt. I loved the vivid colors, the random shapes and the feel of peace I had sitting in the garden. Even though my grandmother planted her flowers in specific places the beauty of their blooms was random and each time I looked at her garden I saw a different flower that I hadn't seen before. My grandmother used to say the fairies left her the flowers each spring and she never knew where they might pop up from year to year. That's how I got the name of this quilt "Fairy Dust". This pattern allows your eye to land on a different spot each time you look at the quilt.
Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I am glad to be back among friends!
