It sure has been a long time since I got on here and posted anything. Joe and I have finally found some time to work on my cabin. It has all of the wiring run for 20 outlets inside, 12 lights inside, 2 grounded outlets outside, and 2 spotlights in front and back outside. All of the insulation is in, and the vapor barrier is up. The ceilings are up and primed, and attic flooring is in. We have the paneling bought(inexpensive to be painted once it is up) and lighting fixtures. We have chosen the paint colors, bathroom fixtures, shelving, flooring, and furniture. We will pick up each thing as we are ready for it, so we don't have to find a place to store it until we need it. With the hours that Joe works, it is hard to make time to work together out there, but we are doing much better lately. I can't wait to have all of my sewing and quilting in one big room. When it starts to look more like a quilting cabin I will post photos. Right now there really isn't much to see. Hopefully really soon...

I have been workin gin a 10' x 10' room for the past 12 years. My quilting frame and long arm machine is set up in the back half of our very large living room. I have had room to work, but not a space like the quilting cabin will have. I have had to share my space with the family computer (and the family) in my sewing room, and the living room with its TV and other distractions is less than ideal for making real progess on my many projects. I truly cannot wait to have my cabin all finished and set up so I can "move" out there and have a professional looking and functioning studio. I think that my sweet husband is beginning to worry I might just get out there and never come back in the house... It could happen. :-)
You will absolutely LOVE having your own quilting space. What a great project to work on together and something to look forward to enjoying.
Color me green with envy! Sounds like a perfect place to spend time quilting.
Sounds divine!
Exciting!!!
Sounds like a quilters dream to have a whole cabin. Looking forward to seeing pictures.
Thank you all for your positive comments and well-wishes. You have made my day.
sounds like a fun project! Can't wait for pictures!
That sounds like heaven. I have a room for all my stuff but it needs to be twice the size it is now! I am trying to figure out where I can put a quilting machine. The lack of space is the biggest hold up on the purchase.
Sounds like a really exciting endeavor! Can't wait to see pictures.
