I have one last quilt to finished the binding, hanging sleeve & label! Whew!
Meanwhile, I'll show you another. This is called "Chocolate Mousse With Raspberry Caramel Creme Sauce" - it's almost my favorite title ever. This is not a large quilt, in fact it's the smallest I am entering in the show. I had the moose and bear patterns for a lodge-type quilt, and decided to use them here also. The dark pink sashing I bought has dark brown, widely-spaced swirls in it, which is how I came up with the "Raspberry Caramel" part. I also used it for the backing. The appliques are all batik - six shades of brown, three cream backgrounds, and four greens. In my imagination the story goes that the bear has been following the moose hopefully, thinking a delicious meal is in the offing. Now, he is having second thoughts!

I love it! ...And your imagination! Must be wonderful to have a cottage in the mountains with no tv or internet where you can just quilt all day. I don't know CA that well. Are you near San Rafael?
Clever!
Comment by B J Elder/WA on March 18, 2013 at 7:07pm Of course you got me with the name! LOL Then the quilt itself drew me in. It is GREAT!
Comment by Carol Ann Hinton on March 18, 2013 at 4:17pm Thanks, guys! I wasn't sure about the hoof prints, but now I think they work.
Comment by Prairie Quilter/NE on March 18, 2013 at 4:06pm Wow! This is absolutely fabulous! I would never have thought to put pink in a woodsy quilt, but it totally WORKS! Love the name, the hoofprints, trees, silhouettes, swirl border, everything! If I could gush any more, I would. Love, love, love this one.
Comment by Barb/WI on March 18, 2013 at 1:41pm I do like this quilt...A LOT! Great name, cute border, the list goes on.
I love this quilt and the name is perfect.
Comment by Mary, Tewksbury MA on March 18, 2013 at 12:42pm Great quilt, aptly named. Love the color combo and the hoof prints.
I love your quilt and the name is very appropriate. I am glad that bear decided to not do anything because the moose that I saw was a very big boy and the bear while being a big boy wasn't that big. ( I saw them when I went to Alaska.)
