Ready for Spring
I also am so ready for spring. We have had some nice days and today is sunny but it is still cold outside. Yesterday it rained most of the day, which isn't unusual around here, but it is nice to have sunshine. I have appreciated the pictures of the flowers that have been posted in the last few days. I have seen some spring bulbs blossoming and my lilac bushes look like they are finally starting to come out and the blossoms on the cherry tree look like they are getting ready to pop. So it is ironic that we are now sewing projects in our new winter fabric that will be in a catalog later this summer. It is very cute fabric but I it makes me cold and I would still rather be warm right now. I am sure by middle of summer when it is hot everyone will be ready for some snowmen fabric!

Sharla, you should be here in ND for sewing on your winterish fabric. I live in Grand Forks ND and we've had over 10 inches of snow. Before this week, most of the snow was gone, but now I have as much snow in my patio and up my patio door as I did most of the winter!. We are also fighting a flooding Red River. In l997 we had a record flood and the whole town was evaculaed. The crest is predicted to be just a foot short of that record flood so the people are sandbagging in the middle of blowing snow and single digit temperatures. I havn't been able to do any quilting because I've been taking care of the children of a younger couple so they can sandbag. I'm glad that I can do something to help. It's a tense time for everyone who has been through the last big flood. Happy quilting!
