Good morning ladies-
I finally am home to get some computer work done. Haven't been posting much, just one of those summers you'd like to forget. Hated to answer the phone...we lost several members of our family and a close friend to a freaking accident. We seem to be getting our heads above water now, so looking forward to a quiet Fall. I have been collecting fabric for a couple of lap quilts for Christmas gifts. We are heading out to Branson the end of Sept. Plan on spending two days in Lexington, KY and onto Paducah!!!! Will spend a night there to see the quilt museum and shop. Always wanted to go there so routed us through there.
Hope everyone is doing well...

Pam,, sorry for your losses...Enjoy your trip,,we are going to try to make it next year as DH retires..
I'm so glad to see you are back and sorry for your losses. I knew there had to be a reason for you to go missing. You will love the museum in Paducah! Not only are the quilts beautiful, they are beautifully hung. NO PHOTOS ALLOWED. That's the only down side.
Go to Hancock's just to see how amazing it is. You might even find some pretty fabric.
Yay! Pam's back. I am so sorry it has been such a difficult time for you. Sometimes these things seem to all happen at once, becoming overwhelming. Your trip sounds like a much needed break. Looking forward to reading your posts again!
Oh Pam so sorry for the loss of your loved ones. I'm glad to see you're back on QWU. You have been missed. Enjoy your travels and especially your Paducah visit. I'm looking forward to a nice quiet Fall and Winter to just sit and sew. This Summer has been a whirlwind of activity and I'm ready to settle in to some quiet time.
My condolences as well. Those losses - especially the unexpected ones - always take an emotional toll. Hope you are able to get in some quilting time and have safe, fun travels.
I'm so sorry about the losses of loved ones. I was asking Irene if she had heard from you because I was getting worried. You will love the museum in Paducah. My husband loved it as much as I did. We went on a Sunday afternoon, which was great as there was hardly anyone else there. Be sure to go see the murals on the river too. They were erected to keep the river from flooding the town after a horrible flood in 1993, but they are decorated with different highlights of the town.
