Well, yesterday the base cabinets that will turn into a work station were delivered. They are now back to back in the center of the room with a 4 ft x8 ft - 3/4 inch piece of red oak plywood sitting on their tops. The small cabinets have been stained and one of the base cabinets. Rather than putting on side paneling (which always comes off), I'm using some of the ceiling paper to put on the sides to help make it look like a built in and give the illusion of being somewhat recessed, I hope. Doesn't look too bad, at any rate, it ties everything together. Tomorrow will finish the ceiling corner that is yet to be completed, after I finish mowing the 3 1/2 acres, got too dark tonight by the time I finished staining/sealing the cabinets.
Also had delivery of a small refrigerator and microwave oven so I'll be able to do snacks, tea, etc. until the stove is hooked up. That won't be done until we get an electric meter for the studio and make it totally free standing on its own utilities from the house. I may start moving more things into the studio this weekend if things continue to progress, all depends on whether or not DH gets called out on a job. He's on call 24/7 with Frontier communications (use to be Verizon).
Almost forgot, as you know I have baskets on display at the Besser Museum as part of an exhibit with my guilde. Well yesterday, myself and two other members of the guild did a make and take basket class at the Museum where we taught 11 people how to make a cracker basket that they could take with them when finished. It was wonderful watching the grandparents and grandkids, mother daughter couple and just friends as their baskets went from something that looked like a sick canoe to a wonderful finished product that looked professionally made! They were impressed and so were we.
Talke more later, need to get load of laundry going before I go to bed.
