Sept. 12 - Late getting the weeks started

That is what happens when you are retired sometimes.  LOL

First, I hope all had a Spirit Led week last week.  I know it was a hard one.

The recovery from Hurricane Harvey is underway, slowly in some areas, but at least it is moving along.  Darren's father in law, who stayed in the Houston area during Harvey, seems to be doing fine.    Irma is another story.  That is going to be a mess from the get go.  I am praying for all involved.  From the victims, to the first responders, to the local, state, and federal officials, that the decisions that they make are good for all and timely.  Also praying for all the islands that took a direct hit and were devastated.  I can not imagine living under those circumstances.

Now for my sewing update.  I finished the toddler bibs.  They are all reversible.  They are hard to work with due to the fact that there is a plastic shower curtain in between the front and back.  Everything slips and slides around.

They are now waiting to be washed.  Yes, they can go into the washer and dryer on medium heat for both.

We saw our oldest twin the other day.  He is the one that is expecting in March of next year.  OOPS, I am not supposed to say anything yet.  Oh well, I spilled the beans.  His wife thinks that the baby is a boy.  I do also.  Ryan is not sure yet.  But what we all know, this baby will be well loved as is their daughter, the little princess.  LOL  Little princess wants a sister.  LOL

Now, I have some  handwoven 'cross' blocks that I am going to see about making them into quilt blocks.  I believe the crosses measure about 3 x 6 inches.  I am going to see about sewing on a 'fabric frame' around each and making something out of the 40 + blocks.

Matthew 5: 23-24

23. So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24. leave your gift there before the altar and go.  First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

May you have a Spirit Led week.

Thank you.  I made one for baby Daniels' first birthday.  My son said they really liked it mainly because nowadays, Daniel is pulling off his other bibs and he can't pull these off.

I used to live in Modesto, Ca and though I was in the valley, fires were always a threat.  I have a nephew that lives near Portland, Oregon, and I fear for his family.  I don't think there are fires near him right now.

I like those bibs.  Very cute.

Cute bibs!  So handy.

Congrats on the news.  :)  Sometimes grandmas are just too excited not to share the news.  We won't tell.

Praying also for those in Montana and Idaho who have lost so much to widespread grass/forest fires.  Funny how we're not hearing about that on mainstream media.

I'm working on some small gift items.  Still need to get a back made for grandson #1's train quilt.  Procrastination...
