Quilt With Us

I have been sewing all day, finishing a T-shirt quilt for a former student; I also taught with his mom.  Anyway, he is graduating from college this year. I don't feel old because my first class of second grade kids are 47 or 48!!!

The point is that I have been watching Missouri Star Quilt Co. quilting tutorials all week! I just leave my computer running on YouTube and it cycles through all the videos! If I leave the room to iron or let my dog out, no worries! the tutorial will repeat again or I just move the cursor back to the part I missed.  They are really fun!  I think it is a mom and her two daughters.  Anyway, you would be surprised how much you absorb watching the same thing 3 or 4 times over a week or two.   I think they have 39 tutorials.

I have a hard time sewing for a long time if it isn't my own project, so watching Downton Abbey on Netflix or watching quilting tutorials makes it fun!

Has anyone else enjoyed these??

Love Jenny from MSQC. I visited there last Oct, my niece lives in Mo. about 1 hr. away from MSQC. so I made her take me there.  I didn't stay long, especially with people who don't quilt.  The shop is GREAT!and I got to  meet Jenny very lovely person, (of course she is a quilter, we all are nice people)  Jenny has a mag out the first one tells of her life.  QUILTING QUICKLY is the name of her mag.  A lot of the quilts in the mag.  she does on You Tube.  Very quick and easy.

I watch them. I signed up with You tube for quilting shows and it is in my email.

Oh yes, Jenny and her tutorials are surprisingly fun and easy to follow.  I just don't go rushing out to buy the tools they 'advertise' in their videos though.  I find alternative ways to do them.

I love Jenny and her girls. Her dd,Natalie has designed quite a few of the tools that Jenny uses. I have also played her videos over and over just to be able to do the design that she is doing. I am working on her Spider Web quilt now. I love Jenny.

I love MSQC also.  Have you tried the "binding buddy" too?  It's wonderful.  I have made several "tea towel aprons" to wear when I'm sewing. I keep my tools in my pocket so I don't have to hunt for them.  Jenny's tutorials are very inspiring.  I watch them all the time.

I also enjoy the Missouri Star Quilt Co. site.  I have used some of those ideas with my quilt group, and find it to be a good resource when I'm looking for an idea to present.
