Quilt With Us

I added a picture of Lucy. She decided to make my Lovers' Knot quilt her own - it's the blue crumpled ball in the corner. I made it years ago just because I liked the pattern. I guess Lucy does also; it's in she special nap corner!

Yesterday I took a class on how to make the quilt pattern 'Shadow Box'. The class & pattern was a birthday gift from two friends who also quilt. I used oriental prints; the primary color being shades of purple. The shadow is a dark green leaf print. The sashing is a gold swirl pattern. I hope that by the time I finish the top, I will have learned how to download photos. It was a fun day, despite the trouble I had with my machine. I didn't get as much done as I thought I would. But that's ok; I want it to be done well.

The second comfort quilt is almost done. I finished the quilting today. The label and binding are all that's left to be done. Once this quilt is completed, I'm going to start sewing the pieces for the crazy quilt. That has a deadline of June 1; which means I need to complete it by mid-May.

I still have two more comfort quilts to complete.
