Quilt With Us

Hi all,
So Surgery was December 18th, and it's now almost 3 months later. I am still having some issues, but I have 3 babies in the family on the way, so there is no time to horse around. Quilting is coming back slowly in my life, and I just have to remember little sittings at the machine at a time! I love you all very much and thank you so much for the support! I have started on quilt number one and it's a very simple pattern. When i get it done i will put up pictures!!!

Quilting hugs and love,
Em

Glad you are on the mend, Em. I love baby quilts and can't wait to see your creations. Take care and don't overdo tho.

OOOOO i would never give up quilting Nanny, and Thank You so much for the thoughts BJ. My fibro hasn't been helping at all in the healing process. I go back to the doc on the 18th b/c I am having issues with my right foot and my left well nice way to put it, i have a pain in my left arse LOL! So the 3 new additions to my family is wonderful, though is hard, we haven't had our wedding yet, and everyone wants to know when there will be one and when we will have a baby.... Now, as far as the rest of things, my Social Security/Disability is a whole different story. I have been waiting for almost 2 years for my hearing and it's been a long wait. My lawyer is getting more documents from my surgeon, and as far as that goes, I'm hoping that surgery helped get me some assistance seeings that i cant find a job that i'm qualified for. No one wants to hire someone that can't pick up more than 5 lbs and can't sit or stand for more than 30 minutes. So am waiting to hear when my hearing will be... That's about all at the moment!! Thanks again for everyones well wishes!

In time, you'll be back at your machine sewing away and getting all your quilts done. I'm glad that you are on the road to recovery. Taking things slow will sure help you back to full time.

Hi Em, I am sew glad to hear from you....I was beginning to wonder if you were just going to give up quilting, lol. My DH wouldn't mind if I did, but not gonna happen.......Take care and take it easy, a little at a time, crawl, walk and then run...

God has brought you to mind several times lately and I had wondered how you are doing. Thanks for the update. Glad you are taking it slow - a timer is a good tool to use so you don't work too long at a time. How exciting to have 3 babies on their way. Much to look forward to.

Hi, keep getting better. Quilting is a good therapy, just don't overdo, your body will tell you when to rest and take heed.
Take care.

I am very excited about the baby quilts!!!! And I am also taking it slow, but the bits and pieces have started to add up already, i have everything cut and almost all the pieces put together for the first one. my first on is simple. i need to put the checkered squares together! I am workin on it, and it will all come together eventually just frustrating not being able to sit down and sew for hours like i used to!

Hi, Em! I'm glad you are gradually getting back to normal and doing the things you love. Those bits and pieces of sewing time can add up to getting a lot done. Just take it easy and take care of yourself.
