Quilt With Us

Well, it's winter time, and winter without snow is like, summer without humidity.  So the snow comes down and causes havoc.  But it's also good - freezes out all the germs in the air, and now I can breathe again. So in celebration of snow days, I finally finished a blue work embroidery ...Snow Happens...

My DGD thought it was hers to keep for her dolls' blanket, not this one.

Very nice.  Nothing beats a blue and white quilt, in any form.  Beautiful grand-daughter too.

I got this pattern from my LQS, it's by BirdBrain Designs (www.birdbraindesigns.net).  I love doing embroidery, and the blue work and red work patterns are so easy to do, no need to change colors.  I didn't do the three-strand method with backstitch though, I used double strand with outline stitches.

Love this! Where can I get the pattern? And what is it called. Love the blue.

Very pretty & what a great helper you have to help hold up the quilt for the pic.  You could always state in your will that she gets the quilt when the time comes.

Wonderful!  I just purchased 2 Crabapple Hill embroidery projects:  Over the River and Winter Wonderland.  Will do River in brown which I've seen done.  Can't decide if Winter Wonderland will be red or blue; have seen done in both and both are beautiful.  Am excited to start after holidays.  Lots of snow here, too, and now temps are frigid.
