Quilt With Us

So I'm Finally Getting Some Quilting Done!

Many of you read my post about a lot of Layer Cake quilt tops that I made.  Well, I'm finally getting around to completing the quilting on them. I put more info on my other blog http://moderntraditionquilts.blogspot.com as it can hold more information.

I love all quilts done with Baptist Fans.  For those of you who do machine quilt, I put pics of how I quilted the three different borders.

Back side!

Another quilt top.  I used an edge-to-edge Dahlia design whose threadpaths I just "invented".  I was worried about using red thread on the entire top but it worked out nicely.  Here's a close-up:

Happy Quilting!

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for your kind comments.  Mary, good luck with your class--getting the results I wanted is why I learned how to machine quilt too.  Our local area has a machine quilting guild which taught me (for free I may add) a lot of really good tips.  And, if you can go to a longarm conference, take a class from Pam Clarke.  Her classes are worth way more than she charges and she gives out booklets of information and ensures a lot of quilting time on the machines.

BTW, thanks for your compliments on our little pink daughter--we love her too!

You do beautiful work.  I signed up for a long arm  quilting class, haven't always been 100% pleased with end results when I had them quilted.  So figured I better learn to do it myself. Class is next month.  Love the various pattern you used.

Looked at your blog- your daughter is beautiful.  Love the tutu, looks good with Ariel.
