Quilt With Us

Our totally unusual winter with the HUGE drifts is moving into spring. The last of the drifts in my yard are not very spectacular anymore. Now they are small and covered with dirt that has blown in. I am developing "garden fever". It is a very common ailment. Yesterday was so bad that I cleaned the garage (okay, half of it) so I could set up my seed sprouting spot.

It is still weeks before the "last freeze", or not. We might be done with the severe cold but we have a long history of spring snows and freezes. It snowed one year on the 4th of July.  I think it was 105 during the following year's parade.

On the quilting front, I am plodding along with the tedious monster. I keep telling myself that each stitch gets me closer to my goal. It's starting to sound like another work of fiction.

We still have "glaciers" in the backyard and the street that closes in the winter for snow storage. We're getting alternating snow/rain/fog/snow/sleet/rain/fog today. Wish we could get out of Dodge.

I hate the dirty snow and cars this time of the year...gardening and flowers sound promising!

You can do it!  Think of the party you can throw when it is FINISHED!  :D

Very unusual winter here, too.  Dry and fluctuating unseasonably warm temps with well below freezing temps.  We need some spring rains very badly.

I've gotten some of my quilting enthusiasm back and am happily working on some projects.  It's been a long, dry spell.

Very cold here in Maine also.  High winds makes it even colder.  I'm beginning to feel like a hermit.  I'm looking forward to Sat. when the temp goes up to 45.  It will feel like a heat wave. lol
