Quilt With Us

We hit 82 today!!!! that never happens in CNY this time of the year. But, as anyone who lives in the north knows, EVERYONE is out doing yard work, smiling, and sunning themselves! We did a little ourselves. Finishing my second I Spy quilt...three more to do!

Went to buy groceries this afternoon. Hubby disappears to go get some beer. He wasn't returning, so I go in search of him! Come around the corner and here's a blonde bending forward asking him all kinds of questions about different kinds of beer. Now, hubby doesn't realize I'm watching this. The poor dear didn't even realize he was being hit on. Now, what 45yr. old woman doesn't know something about beer!!!! Hubby is a scientist and he is answering every question like he's taking his state boards! I'm enjoying this so much and actually feeling sorry for the broad for wasting such valuable time. I walked up and said, hey can I join the party? She bee lined it out of there (without the beer)! Hubby denies she was hitting on him...really? How blatant does it have to get? He has been off the market for 45 years so guess his skills are a little rusty. Have had a laugh on him in the meantime!!!

It's been awfully quiet again...let's shake things up and get back the chatter!!!! Have a great week!

LOL - I wouldn't know much of anything about beer, but I know I'm one of the few. Having said that... how funny. Just shows your DH only has eyes for you.

Always love your stories; they add a bright spot to a gray cold day in Wisconsin.  Lucky to have reached 32 today; snow still on ground and perhaps more on way midweek.  Ugh!

Funny! Mine would have done the same but I don't believe for a single second he wouldn't know he was being flirted with, I would however believe he thought he could convince me she wasn't flirting just being friendly. WHATEVER! If he's quick enough to know when someone flirts with me no doubt he knows when he's being flirted with. MEN!

Cute story, Pam.  My hubby would have been just as clueless.  Glad someone is enjoying some beautiful weather.  Raining hard now, then turning to 2 - 4 inches of wet, heavy snow.  Ah yes, this too, shall pass.

Nice here in Florida today, went swimming in the pool this afternoon. Your DH is good, mine would not have behaved so well. At 72, he still thinks he is God's gift to women!

It HAS been quiet here!  I'll put some photos on soon from the 12 hour Mystery Quilt retreat.

It has also been warm in our neighborhood - in the 80's all week - We're heading for the mountain house next week.  Spring has fully sprung, along with all my allergies.  Pine trees don't bother me at all.

Loved the Blonde and the Beer story!  My DH is uncomfortable with even slightly aggressive blondes (married 34 years now); at the first question, he would have backed up until he stumbled over something in the beer aisle!

I just got back from retreat. Sorry no pictures. My camera managed to stay in a different building all weekend. I found it while ago when I was unpacking.

I adored your story about Clueless husband and the Blonde. Better to have clueless than on the make. Mine would probably give her a full ( and potentially brain numbing monologue on beer)

Weather report--snow yesterday sent some of our group running for home, afraid if they stayed the full time they would get stuck on this side of the canyon--a beautiful, treacherous road linking us to roads going south.

I'm still here but have been doing ZERO quilting for a long time. Lots of other things going on. Plus I usually have much less energy in the winter. About the time the clocks turn back in the fall, I do too. Doesn't get better until the clocks turn forward again, However, I signed up for a short class on color, learning a lot. I find myself thinking of quilt designs when I go to sleep at night. That's a good sign. When I get caught up with my "have-to"s, should be this week, I will be able to get on with my "want-to"s. BTW, it is snowing in western Colorado this afternoon.

I can just picture you watching that scenario!  It is even more fun to watch when the men are clueless.

Well Pam I began wondering if anyone is alive out there! Lol. I can just picture the scene with your husband. Lolol
