Quilt With Us

I just watched Stitch the Movie. It was great to see how quilters are a unique group of people, it does make you want to be able to sew full time and do something that you love. Maybe someday soon is my" hope and wish". If you love it you need to make time for it is my new motto, sew much of the time we put aside the things we love to do to handle the things we have to do i am looking forward to fall and winter to sew more and enjoy what I want to do.

Retirement provided that space of time to dedicate to quilting. However, there are soooo many other activities that do creep into that space and robs that sewing time. Try as I may, I really have to discipline myself and set aside time for sewing and be dedicated to it to complete projects that have accummulated and projects that I would like to start. My husband teases me and asks me not to run him over on the way to the  sewing room to actually work on a project. :-)

It is fun to sew full time on quilts since I have done that for years. The only problem is I need to get some money back by selling 30 plus quilts. Lately though, I am not getting to the selling part, since I now work full time out of the home by sub-teaching, ( not the job I had hoped for a few months ago). I can make better money subbing  then messing with quilt making. It is hard to make people pay the hours you have in your quilts.
