Quilt With Us

I have finally opened the doors of my studio and posted to both the website and the blog pictures of what it now looks like on the inside. It's still a little dusty as one of the armoires decided it didn't like the shelving in there and had to be fixed. So everything is still a little helter skeltered in there, but at least I can work inside. My darling hubby is attaching a storm door for me so I can have the main door open, if I wish, to watch snowflakes fall.

I've put a few pictures here so you can get a hint of what the studio itself looks like. Thanks again to all who entered my contest and, hopefully, everyone has received their prizes by now.

This is SamWise who is glad the studio is done. May be now he can get some sleep!

Thank you all for your kind comments. Know that the door is always open for you, if you happen to be in the neighborhood just give a hollar and let me know you're on your way!

Can't wait to get started on some of my projects, especially teh big ones!

Your Samwise could be our Whiskers' twin! He seems to have a lot of those, doesn't he? I oohed and aahhed over your studio pictures--especially the shelves with all your books and magazines. I'm limited on usable space b/c of my quilting frame--nowhere else to keep it and it takes up my only unbroken wall. But it's a nice problem to have!

It is wonderful! Music and heat and fabric and a cutting/work counter and BOOKS and a microwave and file cabinets . . . . .

Sorry to hear about the loss of Destiny. I often wonder how Sam's brother Frodo is doing. I had to leave him behind with the no-kill shelter I adopted him from. I couldn't afford the surgery he needed to remove bladder stones and putting him down was not an option as far as I was concerned. They did the surgery, but I was forbidden from readopting him. That broke my heart as we had a very deep bond. If they weren't able to get him stabllized, then he would live out his life either in a foster home or as the mascot for the shelter. I'm hoping he is well loved wherever he is. I miss him terribly, however, as he was the first cat I got when I moved to AZ after my DH #2 passed away. SamWise I got 6 months before the move to Michigan and Sam and Frodo were very close, until Frodo became ill, then he became combative with everything and everyone.

I just looked down & see that I am "green with envy"! All kidding aside, this looks fabulous. Your kitty looks like he could be a twin to my Destiny. She went to kitty cat heaven last summer & we miss her so much!
