WE ended up getting about 18 inches...watching the local news and 45 quilters were at a local hotel on a retreat. Three days of quilting in front of a huge stone fireplace. One lady drove up from Atlanta to spend time with her sisters! Now, that's how to weather a storm!!!
So smart to get ahead on a few gifts! Way to go. My chance to get snowed in comes tomorrow. Only expecting 4 - 7 inches, so it shouldn't be too bad. I do have a few projects in mind though. Good chance to catch up.
That Florida tan is sounding pretty good right about now. Enjoy!
Pam the pot holders and table runners are pretty. I do this when I get over burdened with scraps. At the moment I have enough scraps to make a pot holder to cover the State of Maine. I really need to stop starting projects and finish my UFO's. We got about 10 inches of snow but as usual we got freezing rain on top of the snow. When I went out this morning to move the truck for the plow, one back wheel was banked with the hard crusted snow. I put it in 4 wheel drive but I still had to move the snow to get out. Have a safe trip and keep in touch.
Great way to use up orphan blocks! We lucked out in Mid-MO this time as the storm went north of us. We are still dealing with the aftermath of the blizzard we had the weekend before so we sure didn't need more snow!
Pam, Nice finishes! I'm always drawn to those traditional blocks. Those smaller, quickly finished pieces are so satisfying. Did you end up with as much snow as was predicted? We'll look forward to your warmer weather adventures. Send a little bit of that Florida sunshine our way, okay? Safe travels!
Great idea with the leftover blocks. I make hot pad holders for gifts and me. I've also made 150 Micro Bowl Potholders for gifts to just give friends and relatives. I have them in the motor home and in the house. Your hot pads are cool and look so nice with the different bindings. Way to go. Time to head out is always an exciting adventure and just don't stay in the sun to long. Hugs.
