I am thinking that I have finally gotten a grip on things -- or at least caught my breath for a while. This year has been one major challenge after another, and I felt like I lost myself in the midst of it all. There are still some hurdles to get over, but I'm seeing them for what they are, and they're "do-able" now.
My younger daughter was home from college for almost two weeks, and the girls had a terrific visit! They have both done some growing up this year, and it was nice to see them put their differences behind them and actually enjoy each other's company.
We ended the visit with a trip to watch my Chicago Cubs play the Washington Nationals -- in DC on the 4th of July! It is going to be the highlight of my summer, because even though the Cubbies lost the game, we had a really wonderful afternoon together.
I'm going to try and focus on rearranging my sewing area next week. This will not only help me to get some things going with my older daughter's wedding quilt (I'm still stuck in the same place I was when I last posted about it), but will let me get a change in my house too. I've been knitting for a bit, since it's easy to carry around, but really want to spend some time getting the quilt to the next stage.
Here's hoping that we all have bright and sunny (but not overwhelmingly hot) summers!

Thanks, Irene! Things are starting to fall into place -- the right place! *smile*
