Quilt With Us

I am entering a small quilt in my guild's challenge for the first time.  It's small as the challenge rules are 20 x 20 or less.  My question....do I add embellishments first, then do the binding.  Or do I bind it and add embellishments after.  The label is on the back and the very last step will be to do a hanging sleeve.  Help !!

I tried to post a photo but it didn't work.  Sorry.......

LIke Carol Ann said, it really depends on what kind of embellishments and where they are placed. It it was mine, I most likely would do the binding then add them. You may want to so some on the binding too?

Good to hear from you, Trevi!  No help from me, but I'm glad to see you here.  Maybe the photo will work next time.  Let us know how it turns out.

IMHO, It depends upon what your embellishments are; if they are buttons or charms (things that stick out), I sew them on dead last. They might get in the way of your sewing machine when you are putting on the binding. If it is embroidery, I do it before quilting or binding. If it is hot-fix crystals or the like, you can do it either way. With beading, it depends on the size of the beads.
