Quilt With Us

Words can't express enough thanks I have for each of you with your love and support over the years as I cared for my mom, and through her homecoming.  The service on Friday was great. My BFF came and officiated. She knew Mom, so that made it extra special to me. I'm intentionally changing my weekly routine, not going to town on the days I have been to help adjust to a new normal.  I think about and miss Mom greatly but am so happy she is healthy and whole and in her eternal home.  I would have preferred to write each of you personally but not enough energy for that at the moment.  HUGS to each of you.

I'm very sorry to hear that your mother has passed, BJ.  I miss my mom terribly, and wish I could still pick up the phone and call her.  But I too believe that she is healthy, happy and whole now.  Your mom lives on in everything she taught you.

I like the arrangement especially the clogs, because that was her heritage.
One chapter has ended another starts glad you are changing your routine that will make it a bit easier. Hold onto the memories they will give you peace. And I know like others say you will often think Oh I must tell Mom.
So glad you had your family around you to celebrate your Mom's life..

Prairie Quilter - I LOVE your recommendations for therapy. Just need to add doing those at the beach and it would be perfect!

It is hard settling into a "new normal."  Take your time...  I recommend chocolate and quilt therapy.  May happy memories of your mom bring you joy.

What a beautiful, final tribute to your mom.  How very special to have your BFF officiate, and be there for you.  Now, it's time for you to be good to yourself, relax and reflect, and heal at your own pace.

I hope you are able to get some much needed rest and relaxation. I hope you are able to find peace in all of your happy memories with your mom. Prayers!

BJ...So many things have happened through the years that you have shared with us. Your mom, Miss Bailey and your life. So glad that the service was great and that a friend officiated. I still want to pick up the phone and call Mom, although she has been gone for almost 19 years. Moms are special people that have guided, loved, shared our sorrows and joys and just been there for us. A new routine is a great plan and we know that you appreciated our prayers to you and your family through the years.  Hugs to you. Sharon
