Quilt With Us

I used my fireweed fabric purse to go to Wasilla yesterday and could have sold some right out of the car. One lady almost bought mine! Too funny. I have a picture of it posted on my page. The day before we went for a snow machine (snowmobile) ride and I finally got to cross the copper river (scary for most people) and see what it's like on the other side. There was a really nice trail but we only went down it for four miles cuz we had to get back home. Hope to go again. We've lived up here for 35 years and into the home we built 22 years ago and I've always wanted to go over there to see what it's like.... It's in the Wrangell-St.Elias National Park, the biggest park in the world, so very peaceful. The weather is perfect! It's the best part of winter for us, sunny and warm and lots of good snow for outdoor sports.
Take care now!

Sharon,
Let me know if you get this message. I'm not sure how to comment back to someone that commented on my blog so I'll try this.
Did I give you my phone number?

Klutina, your home and surroundings sounds lovely. I love scenic areas and can't get enough of them. I've never been to Alaska but the images that I see from time to time of it on TV are wonderful. God did such a grand job when He created!
Love and Hugs, Dee

Your snow mobile ride sounds like a lot of fun. How far are you from Wasilla? When we were there 12 yrs ago, we were thru there several times, going and coming from Anchorage to the towns down ontoward the spit in Homer. We're leaving here on June 1st and shoud be in AK in 1 1/2 weeks or so. I can't wait to meet you. The guys will be fishing for Copper River Salmon and my SIL and I will have free time to do what we want. Thanks for being my friend. Your quilts are beautiful and your bags too.

It's gratifying to know the fruits of our labors are in high demand. I'm always pleased when someone is excited about something I've made.

oh, that's so true. You should try an inside trip now. Two of my sister's did the inside passage cruise a coup years ago and though they loved it they said the land trip was much better. Thanks!

I love your purse too! I would have bought it off of ya too! :)

i can only imagine how gorgeous your ride was - I've only seen bits of Alaska from a cruise ship. And I can only relate to Copper River 'cause that's where the best salmon comes from!
