Quilt With Us

Friend of mine says that between now and Thanksgiving we should wirte one thing a day we're thankful for.
So... I am thankful for the family I came from. They helped me be a better person. We never doubted that we were loved and they gave us an excellent education even though it meant many sacrifices on their part. They also gave us a foundation of faith. Growing up I didn't think they were anything special but as I moved around the country and traveled the world I came to realize how truly lucky I was. To my mom and dad, long gone, thank you.

Roseann, thanks for making us aware of the things we are so thankful for. I too, am thankful for my family. Although my Dad has gone, I still have my Mom and a sister and a brother and his wife and family. How wonderful to have a loving family when you think there are so many that don't even have that. I am so Thankful that we have a God that loves us.

I too would start with family. I would add to that my friendship with my mother in law and my daughter...it's more than just the love, it's the being able to share my life with them.

I'm with BJ--the gift of laughter is awesome. I'll go ahead for tomorrow's list and say--family.

This is a wonderful suggestion! I'm thankful for the 50+ years that I had with my wonderful husband. And for the congregation that has been so supportive since he passed away. I am truly blessed!

What a great idea - there is truly so many many things to be thankful for. As silly as it may sound, I am thankful for laughter. It's a wonderful gift God has blessed me with and has helped me through so much.

What a wonderful thing to say! I hope our children/grandchildren will say the same about us someday. Sometimes the kids already have in some ways, especially when they've had opportunity to be around other families, they see the differences and appreciate what we did so much more. I'm thankful for a husband who never gives up and is so determined to make things work. He's kind and generous and so smart, and he's always willing to help whenever it's needed. He's a hard worker and has set some of the best examples for me and our children. Happy quilting!
