Quilt With Us

I found some fantastic fabric for a quilt I am dying to make, but it will have to wait as I have about 7 in front of that one to make first. I did buy the fabric though, so at least I can enjoy the uncut color combinations until then ... Anyone else ever feel as though work interfers with quilting, and the days should include at least 3 Q hours each - hours to be devoted only to quilt work...

Yes! Yes! More hours for quilting and less time for the old 9 to 5. I've recently been given more work and can't help complaining. Some co-workers think I should consider it job security in these bad economic times, but I am just more tired at the end of the day and so I get less quilting done.

I am with you. I need a bumper sticker that says" I work to pay for this car and to quilt."

I would totally agree, except that my work is also my play. But I definitely need more actual quilting time!!!!

Seems like I should say, Oh, Horsefeathers! Sorry could't help myself........... it's something my Mom would have said if she hear it or saw it............ I am my Mother's daughter.........

As for the 3 hours for quilting time, oh yes that would be wonderful! And yes, working really gets in my way of quilting. Each day as I head out to work, that is my thought! If only, "a dollar and a dream" would work!! Can you even ????

I have often thought how much more I could get done if I didn't have that pesky need to sleep--every night. What a waste of good quilting time!

You are so right. I thought I would have so much time when I retired but I am busier than ever. Just finishing up the binding on two small quilts but I have a closet I'm in the middle of reorganizing and it's more than I thought it would be. Well, at least we are busy and not bored.

"The days just aren't long enough..." I have to agree big time with that. I always thought there should be a store where we could buy TIME. I too need a few more hours in each day.
