Ah, the elusive 1/4" seam. Seems no matter what I do I can no longer sew an accurate 1/4" seam. Why, you ask? I do not know. Could be the old eyes, I've had two cataract surgeries and one scar tissue removal (the last scar tissue removal to be done next Monday). How I miss my old (never 20/20 but still better than this) eyesight. I used to do a lot of hand embroidery too - now the eyes protest!
I am working on "Spooktacular Row Quilt", a kit from CT. I may have to rename it "Spooktacular Wobbly Row Quilt". Currently I am placing 1" squares on the corners of 3&1/2" squares and sewing "on the line" (haha) corner to corner. Yikes! When did 1" become so tiny??? Hoping to get it (at least the top) done by this Halloween. Please feel free to kick me in the butt, for only that and sheer determination will get me through this. (Also there will be much shame and embarrassment if I do not finish this now that I've confessed to you.) And, in the box containing this kit (yes, the original box) I found the "Through the Seasons Autumn" table runner kit! Whoops, I don't remember ordering that.......
